John Sherrill has published and lectured extensively on the efficient and economical management of arbitration cases. As an arbitrator, he has arbitrated over 250 commercial and construction cases, usually as panel chair, primarily under the American Arbitration Association Commercial, Construction, International and Olympic rules. John is currently serving on the International Board of Directors of the AAA, and is also a Fellow in the College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA), a national organization of the most well-respected and preeminent arbitrators in the country. He is currently the co-chair of the special CCA Committee on Coordination of Dispute Resolution Processes.
He has served as an Olympic arbitrator on the AAA/IOC Olympic Arbitration Panel for the Atlanta (1996), Nagano (1998), Sydney (2000, where he was an arbitrator in residence), and Athens (2004) Olympic Games, and he has lectured on the Olympic arbitration process. In 2007, John was asked to author a chapter on “Effectively Resolving Business Disputes Through Arbitration,” for Aspatore Books’ edition on "Inside the Minds-Alternative Dispute Resolution."
As shown on his bio, he has also lectured and written extensively on various aspects of arbitration over the last 15 years.Mr. Sherrill may be selected as an arbitrator from any of the aforementioned panels of the AAA by filing a claim with the AAA under procedures outlined on the AAA website, www.adr.org.
